A video plays once, so a 2-second GIF becomes a 2-second clip. Loop it 3, 5 or 10 times for something people can actually watch.
Your browser encodes the frames into an H.264 video right on your device, nothing uploaded, and plays it next to the GIF.
Save it and post it wherever videos go: Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp status, a slide deck.
The best way to get a GIF into a video-only feed: the same frames and timing, in the format those feeds take.
They upload video, not GIFs. Loop a 2-second GIF 5 or 10 times and it becomes a clip long enough to watch.
GIF stores every frame as a picture; MP4 stores what changes between frames. Our 1.03 MB sample came out as a 381 KB MP4 at one loop.
Video size 2×, 3× or 4× scales up to 1920 px, handy when an emoji-sized GIF has to fill a phone screen.
Type a line on the AI GIF maker and convert what it draws, or make a happy birthday GIF with a name and send the MP4 to a WhatsApp status.
Formats, loops, browsers and privacy.
Yes, with no sign-up, no limit and no watermark. The video is encoded by your own browser, so there is nothing to pay for.
No. The GIF is decoded and the video encoded on your device, and nothing is sent to a server.
MP4 needs an H.264 encoder in the browser. Current Chrome, Edge and Safari have one; where it is missing, the tool encodes WebM instead and says so under the result. Open the page in one of those browsers for an .mp4.
A video file plays once unless the player loops it, which is why you choose the loop count before converting. A 2-second GIF at 5 loops makes a 10-second clip; at 10 loops, 20 seconds.
MP4 has no transparency, so they are filled with white or black, your choice. Keep the GIF if you need the see-through edges, and shrink it with the GIF compressor instead.
Yes: video to GIF takes an MP4, MOV or WebM and turns up to 15 seconds of it into a looping GIF.
